This journal is what contains information during the process of making my cosmetology brand. I had neatly typed and then paste into my wire bound booklet. This represents the process and time I spent just to type and design each piece. Each piece was made in Illustrator. It contains information of how and what I was inspired by.

I have always wanted to be a cosmetologist since I have been in high school. Now that my high school years have come to an end. I was inspired to make my final piece based on cosmetology.

I invested time by researching how most logo brand appear. It's important to make the text stand out so, I used black and white strokes. The black and white strokes on the text help make it pop out. 

I have always adored lipsticks. So, I decided to make my own makeup product involving a ton of lipsticks. Each lipstick has it's own unique color. It fits for any season. 

I really love how makeup palettes are so colorful. I was inspired to make my own makeup palettes with colors that I have chosen.

With Art I can..make a Single Rose

I made a design where people would appreciate art and red roses. I love red roses and doing crafty things so, I created a piece with simple materials. I used papers, glitters, and glue to prepare this single rose. They can be locally found in stores. They are also the least expensive materials.

My Social Cause is Bullying

I chose this social cause with knowledge of how it feels to be bullied and how it's actively around us. Bullying can cause depression, anxiety and sucidial thoughts. It's wrong to allow it to continue knowing that someone you love could be hurt. Whether or not, it's mentally or physically bullied it still hurts. The process of getting help may be embarrassing however, you aren't alone and everyone will be there for you.

What I learned about high school bullying was that bullying affects everyone in some ways. There are negative results to those who were bullied. When the victim is being bullied, they would experience depression and anxiety. Usually, victims that are bullied is too embarrassed to speak up and ask for help or talk to someone. But, its because of feeling embarrassed after being harassed that they should get help or they will suffer only themselves.

A recent news article I found on High School Bullying was posted on Eonline, Tuesday,  March 10, 2015, Colorado 

Skyline High School Teacher gets fired for Bullying a Student with an Instagram post. The teacher had posted an picture with hashtags that were very offensive. The most offensive way of bullying a student was by cyber bullying this student through a post publicly. Most would see that offensive towards the student because teacher shouldn't have posted and said things that were inappropriate.

Repetitive/Pattern Design

Cell Phone Case Pattern Design 

My inspiration for the cell phone case is from makeup and the color palate. I chose three specific colors that really still stood out. The colors worked really well the most with the lipstick shapes. The three colors reminds me of really light green, red, and vanilla. Each lipstick shape had different color that really made an excellent and cutesy style. 

Some evolutions are how I kept swapping palates. At first, I chose black and blue to make it look cool. However, I ended up chose the red, vanilla and green with how it just fits with everything. I didn't have to struggle with moving things around as much. I really adored how it created this really fun and realistic color on a lipstick.

I was very happy with my design for my cell phone case pattern design. It came out the way I wanted. The colors make me feel happy, their not too dark or light. The lipstick reminds me of how I would totally buy it, if anyone can create those colors. It all came together decently, there were struggles but it was worth the effort.

I really liked how the appearance of the phone case and design came together all in one.  The phone case and the pattern fit perfectly especially with how the lipsticks didn't seem smudged. It's really important that it looks fresh on the case. Otherwise, it would look like smudged paint and no one wants that. I'm glad that it all came out in a girly and fashionable way.
